Summer is different here. The quad is always quiet. Geese stake their claim, wandering across the grassy expanse as we, the hapless few human inhabitants, struggle through the humidity.
Six weeks from now, freshmen will replace the poultry. But the heat will hang in the air through October, at least. Meanwhile, I will enjoy the noiseless evenings.
